KSC VISION KscWin
Debuggers KSC VISION and KscWin
KSC VISION is an object oriented debugger-software (SAA standard) with a context sensitive help system. It is fast, easy to learn and to use with a mouse and/or keyboard. Pop-up and pull-down menus, summaries of commands by macros, setting of macros on single keys (62 possibilities), setup files and command data sets, automatic history file, read and write from all memory areas in data sets.
KscWin is a powerful 32 bit Windows Debugger for Windows 9X and NT with a flexible macro command language.
Window types
- Dump (hex, binary signed decimal, ASCII, float, double with 8, 16 and 32 bits)
- Disassembly (also combined with HLL source code)
- Register (presentation of internal processor registers)
- Source (follows the program counter automatically)
- File (view any ASCII data set, i.e. mapdata)
- Watch (presentation of variables, areas and structures in various formats)
- Inspect (showing the content of a variable by double-clicking on the source text - a very fast way to view structures)
- Trace (presentation as dump, in disassembled form or as HLL line)
- Symbol (overview of all modules, their programs and variables)
Each window is adjustable from a local menu. By using dialogue boxes, peripheral interfaces of the processor's such as timer, in/output lines, A/D converter, etc. may be presented.
Processor control
- Run (from actual program counter or any address)
- Single step (also multiple, depending on the active window, in assembler or high language)
- Step over call (single step sub-programs are executed in realtime)
- Run from reset (start exactly as by switching on the target system)
- Return (return to the next higher program level)
- Animate (repeated single step)
- Run until (program is executed up to a predefined point)
- Goto cursor (program is executed up to the actual cursor position)
- Break when accessing internal RAM/SFR
Source level debugging
Keil C-Compiler, IAR, Tasking and Intel are supported, Assembler Source Debugging with Keil ASM > 5.00. All other addresses may be entered symbolically.
Compiler support
Intel, Keil, IAR, Tasking and other C-Compilers.
Object format converter
An object format converter and symbol table optimizer for supported compilers is included.
Software performance analysis
Area duration and execution profile are represented by graph and number, online performance analysis with min./max. time measurements of a routine.
Banking support (X52, SEC 51C)
Up to 16 banks of program memory, 64 KB each (max. 1 MB program memory), various memory types are supported with support of variable sized, common bank.
System requirements
KSC VISION operates under MS-DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 9X and Windows NT,
min. 2 MB main memory (DOS), 4 MB fixed disk capacity.
KscWin operates under Windows 9X and Windows NT,
min. 16 MB main memory, 8 MB fixed disk capacity.
